Machine characteristics

This horizontal bandsaw for metals, equipped with a swiveling arm, allows cutting in a plane perpendicular to the workpiece axis or at any angle between 0° and 60°. The material can be fed manually or mechanically, while the blade feed is automatic. The blade guides come with special carbide plates and bearings, which significantly improve blade guidance, service life, straightness, accuracy, and quality of the cut. Carbide guidance greatly reduces wear on both the machine and the blade. The saw is equipped with a highly efficient coolant pump with a closed coolant circuit.

The bandsaw arm is cast from solid cast iron, and combined with the 27 mm wide blade used on this machine, it enables full-scale batch cutting of both profiles and solid materials. The vise is mounted on an adjustable bed and features a quick clamp. The blade guides use hard metal carbide inserts and rolling bearing system. Precisely these CARBIDE GUIDES are responsible for straight and accurate cuts.

The upper part of the base is shaped as a tray for coolant drainage and swarf collection during cutting. A cast-iron work table with a swiveling arm and a control panel mounted on a separate arm is attached to the base. During cutting, the main cutting motion is the movement of the band saw blade, while the feed is accomplished by the downward movement of the arm. Arm descent speed (cutting feed rate) is regulated by a hydraulic cylinder.

The feed rate is controlled directly on the saw’s control panel. You can select two blade speeds: 35 and 70 m/min. In the lower arm position (after cutting the material), the saw drive is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by blade covers and microswitches that stop the motor at the end of the cycle or when any cover is opened. Additional protection includes automatic shut-off if the blade breaks.
