Total clarified water flow through PF 1–5 or PF 6–9 is 400 m³/h. Filter diameter: 3,000 mm. Filter media - type PR 1–1.6, grain size 1–1.6 mm, bed height 1,100 mm.

Operation:
- Maximum filter capacity: 100 m³/h
- Filtration velocity: 14.3 m/h

Backwashing:
- Backwash water flow: 70 m³/h
- Rising velocity: 10 m/h
- Backwash air flow: 385 Nm³/h

The filters are divided into two sections: PF1-5 (old installation), PF6-9 (new installation). Only one section operates at a time depending on operational requirements. Overall, the usage ratio is roughly balanced, so each section runs approx. 4,400 hours per year. The sand filters are regularly backwashed after an operating cycle (80 hours) or upon reaching a pressure loss of dP 25 kPa. The technology is fully operational.
